Once upon a time, in a sunlit meadow, there lived a slow but steady tortoise and a swift, confident hare. The proud hare bragged, “I’m the fastest creature here—no one can beat me!” The tortoise smiled softly and said, “Let’s have a race and see.” Soon they lined up on the winding path while eager spectators watched. At the signal, the hare leaped forward, leaving the tortoise far behind. But the tortoise moved along steadily, step by careful step. Midway, the hare found a soft patch of grass and decided to take a quick nap. While the hare snoozed, the tortoise passed by without haste. Suddenly the hare woke up and saw the tortoise nearing the finish line. He sprinted as fast as he could, but the gap was too wide. The tortoise crossed first to cheers, proving that slow and steady wins the race. And so they learned a valuable lesson: persistence and patience lead to success.
